Employment and Onboarding with Premier
At Premier Aquatics, we strive to make starting your employment with us as simple and welcoming as possible. Whether you’re joining us as a lifeguard, swim instructor, or administrative staff, our goal is to help you grow and thrive in your career. As Chief Happy People Officer, my mission is to keep our team engaged and supported. While not every day is perfect (who has all-perfect days?), we continuously refine our processes to ensure new employees feel valued from day one. We take pride in fostering a supportive environment and incentivizing our staff to feel like part of the Premier Aquatics family immediately.

How We Get Our People on Board

Starting a new job can be overwhelming, but we’ve developed a streamlined onboarding process to reduce stress for both new hires and our HR team. Once a job offer has been accepted, we take time to guide new employees through the next steps and answer any questions.

For lifeguards and swim instructors, training is both engaging and informative. Alongside the fun, there are essential administrative tasks such as completing your I-9 and W-4 forms. To make this easier, we use BambooHR, a human resources platform that simplifies document management and training. New hires receive a digital packet containing all required forms and training modules, which can be completed at their convenience. This approach reduces paperwork dramatically, allowing employees to submit everything online quickly and efficiently.

Additionally, we provide an online orientation program that can be completed from home, followed by a short in-person session to prepare staff for their first day. For parents of our younger swimmers, we’ve also developed a parent orientation so they feel connected to the Premier Aquatics community.

When Our People Start Work

Once all training, forms, and orientation sessions are complete, employees are ready for their first day. Managers or supervisors meet with new hires to address any questions before they begin on-the-job training. Rookie lifeguards shadow experienced lifeguards to gain practical knowledge, while swim instructors participate in both classroom and in-water training before teaching independently.

This ensures new staff feel confident and supported rather than being thrown “in the deep end.”

We prioritize company culture and aim to create a welcoming, friendly environment. Our open-door policy allows employees to discuss anything from HR matters to casual check-ins.

We also recognize and reward performance through an employee incentive program, supporting career growth and acknowledging achievements. Nurturing talent is a cornerstone of our approach—our staff’s success is our success.

From onboarding to professional development, our number one priority is our people. We focus on nurturing employees so they can perform at their best.
