Water surrounds us everywhere—from pools and spas to bathtubs and ponds. In Southern California, many homes have year-round access to pools, making water safety a daily concern. Premier Aquatic Services encourages adults to identify potential water hazards in their homes and communities, install barriers such as isolation fences around backyard pools, and teach children to avoid unsupervised access to water.
reducing the risk of accidental access, we can prevent tragedies before they happen.
Education and preparation are key to keeping children safe around water. The Safer 3 Foundation promotes safer kids by emphasizing the importance of constant adult supervision near water and providing ongoing swim instruction from qualified instructors. All Premier Aquatic Services swim programs—from early childhood lessons to competitive swim teams—focus on safety, skill-building, and water confidence, helping children learn essential skills to protect themselves while having fun.
Even with preparation, emergencies can happen without warning. The Safer 3 Safer Response initiative teaches families how to respond safely to water emergencies without putting themselves at risk. Key tips include learning CPR and first aid, keeping a phone by the pool at all times, maintaining rescue equipment such as life rings and poles, and ensuring that all family members know what to do in an emergency.
Many instinctively jump into the water to help someone in trouble, which can make the situation worse. Safer Response teaches safer alternatives, like using rescue tools, alerting lifeguards, and calling for help.
Education is a vital component of the Safer 3 mission. Premier Aquatic Services engages in community outreach through school presentations, youth conferences, and participation in various community events.
Our instructors teach children and educators about water risks, safety strategies, and drowning prevention.
